Charles Van Middlesworth is the director of tennis at The Suburban Club in Pikesville, Md. He has been a USPTA member since 1973 and holds a Professional 1 rating. He is also on the Wilson advisory staff.

Van Middlesworth has been a teaching pro at The Suburban Club since 1974. He retired from teaching accounting and computer education in Baltimore County public schools in 1998 after 30 years in high school classrooms. He was appointed director of tennis of The Suburban Club in 2000.

Van Middlesworth earned a bachelor of science in business administration from East Carolina University in 1968 and a master of business administration from Morgan State University in 1976.

As a player he was a junior standout with many Jersey Shore-area titles. He was a member of the tennis team at East Carolina University from 1965 to 1968, where he was a semifinalist in singles and doubles in the Southern Conference tournament from 1966 to 1968.
